from our Trust Deed
The Trust is committed, in attaining its purposes, to:
- respecting and upholding the promises of Te Tiriti o Waitangi;
- respecting the cultural diversity of people and encouraging people from all languages, groups and abilities to utilise the Trust’s facilities and services;
- inspiring people to share their learning about Te Tiriti o Waitangi with others;
- working cooperatively with others in the Treaty education field, and
- maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and integrity.
WHĀINGA – PURPOSE
from our Trust Deed
The purpose of the Trust will be to support development of educational resources about He Wakaputanga o te Rangatiratanga o Niu Tireni (the Declaration), Te Tiriti o Waitangi and processes of colonisation and decolonisation in Aotearoa New Zealand.
In particular the Trust will:
- operate a grants fund for this purpose;
- focus upon those working to share learning and resources with their own communities and/or social and cultural groups;
- provide any other services that support this purpose as determined from time to time by the Trustees, and
- provide other support and assistance consistent with this charitable purpose.
